Weill Cornell Medical College has submitted plans to develop a 221-unit residential building on the Upper East Side, reports PincusCo.

The school, which purchased the site at 1393 York Avenue nearly three years ago from a church, is seeking to develop the land with a 17-story, 128,000-square-foot structure.

The project, located a few blocks from Weill Cornell's 1300 York Avenue campus, is budgeted at approximately $260 million.

Perkins&Will is reportedly designing the building, which would also include offices, amenities, and a garden.

Weill Cornell acquired the project site from Church of the Epiphany for $68 million, according to PincusCo.
