On June 14th, the last event of a five city public art installation will be projected on the front of the Brooklyn Public Library. Movement: Art for Social Change, the traveling exhibit by Pitroda Art, will project 14 artworks by 15 global artists with the theme racial justice and equity.
According to their press release, “The chosen artworks represent poignant, timely interpretations of Black history, racial identity and the current realities of the Black diaspora.”
The exhibit has made its way through Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Participating artists include Antoine Williams (USA), Àsìkò (UK), Heather Haynes (Canada), Kadiejra O'Neal (Barbados), Nombuso Dowelani (South Africa), Paul Ogunlesi (Nigeria), Penda Diakité (USA-Mali), Winfred Nana Amoah (Ghana), and more.
