A rendering published by the Bronx Times offers a first look at a proposed development from Beitel Group which would bring new rental housing to Mott Haven.
The project, slated for a property at 261 Grand Concourse, calls for the construction of a 12-story building featuring 96 residential units and associated amenities.
S. Weider Architect is designing the mid-rise building, which will rise on a wedge-shaped, approximately 10,200-square-foot site located just east of the Major Deegan Expressway. Plans call for an exterior of gray brick and a rooftop terrace deck.
According to The Bronx Times, the project team has not announced a timeline for 261 Grand Concourse.
The project site was most recently priced at $12.5 million when sold in 2019 by JLL Capital Markets.
The developer, Brooklyn-based Beitel Group, has a portfolio of large rental projects located in New York and other markets across the country.
