A 19-story residential tower is coming to 24-01 Queens Plaza North in Long Island City, reports YIMBY.

The project, which is being developed by New Empire Corporation, will include more than 100 condominiums on its upper floors in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom layouts, as well as an unspecified amount of commercial space on its lower levels. Plans also call for amenities including a penthouse lounge, outdoor terrace decks, a fitness center, and a parking garage.

ODA is designing the tower, which will be wrapped in a mixed of cantilevered and recessed balconies. A rendering shows a curving, dark gray facade.

New Empire acquired the project site, currently a low-rise commercial building, for $26 million.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2022.
