A mixed-use building featuring outpatient medical services is about to rise next to the Queensboro Bridge.
The project, slated for a site at 308 East 59th Street in Sutton Place, would be a seven-story edifice designed by INOA Architecture, reports YIMBY. Renderings depict a contemporary structure with an undulated glass facade that uses cantilevers to provide texture.
Construction, which will require the demolition of an existing three-story building, is slated to begin this summer and wrap up by late 2023.
The project site was previously slated for the development of a 16-story, 12-unit rental building which never broke ground.
