The main facade is nearly complete and signage already installed at "The Moon 27", a nine-story mixed-use luxury residential project at 42-38 27th St. in Long Island City. Clad in dark composite panels and exuding more charm than an expansion wing of a hospital in Orlando, the 143-foot tall structure blends into the rapidly transformed section of Queens.

The 50,0000-square-foot building will include 61 for-sale luxury residential units and approximately 11,500 square feet of commercial retail. The Moon 27 comes from BZ Development Group, with Michael Kang Architects and Liu Interiors managing the design. B Sosa Enterprises is listed as the General Contractor.

In an apparent attempt to woo Star Wars fans, The Moon 27 is billed as "ultra modern" and includes AI-enabled entry, oversized laundry facilities; uniquely, it is also Feng-Shui Certified.

Posted signage indicates a completion time of Winter 2025; however Winter 2026 seems more likely.

The marketing team has already launched sales efforts through B Square Realty where listed prices range from $1M to $2.2M.

The Moon 27 replaces, a trio of duplexes, a commercial space and a long vacant lot.
