There’s now yet another reason to love Brooklyn Bridge Park. The beloved waterfront park has just opened Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park, an ice skating rink at the Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, right under the Brooklyn Bridge.

The new open-air rink is a partnership between BSE Global, the parent company of Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets, and sports management firm IMG. The rink opens today and will be open daily through March 1, 2024, with tickets available for 50-minutes sessions.

“Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park’ promises to become an unmissable event in the fall and winter calendar and we are delighted to become the stewards of Brooklyn’s newest community space and winter attraction alongside our partners at Brooklyn Bridge Park and BSE Global,” said Stephen Flint Wood, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Arts and Entertainment Events at IMG.

Glide will offer 12,000 free tickets to New Yorkers throughout the season in an effort to give back to the community and will also provide a limited number of discounted passes to New York City locals that can provide proof of residency. Ticket prices range from $9 for NYC residents up to $25 for adults during peak days (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). There are also several food and beverage options available for purchase at the rink.
