Images spotted by YIMBY indicate that construction has commenced for a new residential high-rise at the corner of East 57th Street and Lexington Avenue in Midtown East.
The tower, located at 126 East 57th Street, will consist of a 28-story building containing 147 condominium units on its upper floors with commercial space below.
ODA is designing the tower, which would will approximately 346 feet in height. Plans call for an exterior of concrete and glass, as well as amenities including a rooftop swimming pool, a fitness center, and a private basketball court.
The project team reportedly includes MRR Development, engineering firm WP USA, construction manager Urban Atelier Group, and general contractor Plaza Buildings.
A timeline for the project has not been announced.
