Work is underway on a final phase of construction as the pavement plan firms up at 288 E. 88th Street where a 270-foot-tall tall mixed-use residential tower is a few weeks away from its anticipated turnover on the Upper East Side.
The 75 unit project comes from Alchemy Properties and includes approximately 2,500 square feet of retail on the ground floor. Construction is being managed by Leeding Builders Group on a design from Hill West Architects.

The classic-inspired design features a double-height stone plinth under slightly irregular columns of ornamental brickwork, where the staggered setbacks of the building rotate up from the north elevation.
The new building replaces a five-story pre-war terra cotta-colored structure with some beautiful brick detailing of its own.
Completion of 288 E. 88th Street is listed as October of 2026.
