Another residential tower is about to rise on the South Bronx waterfront.
CityRealty reports that last week, a groundbreaking ceremony was held last week at 2413 Third Avenue in Mott Haven, where RXR Realty is developing a residential tower. The 27-story, approximately 145,000-square-foot high-rise will feature 200 residences - including 60 that will be reserved for middle-income households. Plans also call for an 81-car garage, a lounge, a fitness center, terrace decks, and a 721-square-foot retail and gallery space at street level.
CetraRuddy is designing the building, which would feature a textured facade and a masonry-clad podium.
Completion of the tower is expected in 2023.
The project site sits along a section of the South Bronx waterfront which is home to a growing number of residential developments - including the seven towers of Brookfield's $1-billion Bankside complex.
