An auto body repair shop in the Bronx could make way for a new multifamily residential building from developer Peter Fine, according to multiple published reports.
The proposed 15-story, 285,000-square-foot building, slated for a site at 1959 Jerome Avenue, would contain a total of 333 residential units, as well as 29,000 square feet of commercial space and 43,000 square feet of community facilities.
All of the new apartments will be rented at levels considered affordable under the city's inclusionary zoning rules, making the project eligible for a zoning bonus, reports The Real Deal.
GF55 Architects is reported to be designing the new development, which is depicted in a rendering with a contemporary look.
Additional details, including an estimated timeline, have yet to be announced.
