Facade Installation has begun at 218 Madison, where an 11-story luxury residential building occupies a prominent corner across from the Morgan Library in the Murray Hill section of Midtown
The 192' tall structure, developed and constructed by Rybak Development contains 26 for-sale units within the 36,000 SF area with an average unit size of 1,380 SF.
IMC Architecture is the architect of record on the building which is clad, innocuously, in a limestone-like material, rectilinearly and without much embellishment, aside from subtle beveling in each window bay. The ground floors have additional rough hewn bevels for some texture at street level.
Posted signage indicates completion in Spring of 2025, no further updates to completion are listed. According to historian Tom Miller, 218 Madison replaces the Historic townhouse and residence of both Cardinal John McCloskey and Archbishop John Hughes, important figures in American Catholicism.
