JLS Group is nearing 75% completion on the superstructure of another Long Island City residential high-rise with curtain wall / facade chasing behind. 

The 408' tall residential tower at 42-19 24th Street will include 207 units and a modest 1,700 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. It is being developed by Montperia, an active player in LIC and Flushing. The design comes from MY-Architect who also has a deep roster of LIC based projects.

The tower immediately south of the Queensboro Bridge will stand-out for its use of blue-green glass facade in a sea of green-blue glass towers. It will have an amenity level on the 16th floor.

The project replaces a relatively handsome, yet out-of-place, international style commercial property, last home to Apex Trade School. Roughly 60 percent of the lot once occupied by the school remains vacant, acting as a staging area for construction. It appears as Montperia will have a second phase of this project which has yet to be announced. 

Construction timeline lists completion of this presumed "Phase 1", in 2027.
