NY State pledges $700M for Atlantic Yards to Produce 5,100 Units by 2031. "Developers behind the latest effort to build thousands of new apartments above and along Brooklyn’s Atlantic Yards train tracks say they plan to break ground by 2028 – a quarter century after city and state officials first greenlit the long-stalled development." East Village and LES Public Pools Re-opens to Public Just in time for heatwave. "Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a break for pool cleaning from 3 to 4 p.m. During the current stretch of extreme heat, however, the city's outdoor pools, including Hamilton Fish and Dry Dock, will remain open until 8:30 p.m." (EVGrieve)
After 50+ Years of Dormancy, Rockaway Bathhouse Reopens as Private Beach Club. "After an $88 million restoration that has stretched nearly a decade, the landmark is finally preparing to welcome visitors again... the final weekend of July, the historic 1932 bathhouse will reopen in phases as the Rockaway Ocean Club, a hybrid destination that blends public spaces with a members-only beach club, hotel and event venue."
