Steven Harris Architects has unveiled a first look at plans for the adaptive reuse of a 17-story building in Tribeca.

The project at 101 Franklin Street - which is being developed by Skylight Real Estate Partners, Cannon Hill Capital Partners, and TPG - calls for adding four stories atop the existing building, resulting in a 21-story structure with 72 condominiums, approximately 2,600 square feet of retail space, and parking for 15 vehicles.

“I have lived and worked in Tribeca for decades, and that long relationship has given me a deep appreciation for its history, architecture, and community," said Harris in a news release. "At 101 Franklin, our aim is to create a building that reflects that understanding, honors the authenticity of its materials, and adds lasting value for residents and the neighborhood alike.”

The project was approved earlier this week at the Community Board 1 meeting.

Other members of the project team include Rees Roberts + Partners as interior design firm, Hill West Architects as executive architect, and marketing agency Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.
