Construction is underway for what will eventually be one of the tallest residential towers in Jamaica, Queens.
YIMBY reports that BRP Companies has broken ground on Archer Towers, a new 24-story tower located at 163-05 Archer Avenue. The roughly 542,000-square-foot development with include 605 residential units - including 181 priced below market rate - in addition to parking for 199 vehicles and 14,000 square feet of retail space.
Designed by Studio V Architecture, the project is depicted in renderings as a contemporary glass-and-steel tower. Future amenities will include a resident lounge, a movie screening room, a children's playroom, landscaped terrace decks, a basketball court, and a yoga studio.
Completion is expected in Spring 2024.
Construction financing was provided by Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Urban Investment Group, according to YIMBY.
